Event lowdown: CHP’s International Documentary Screening: Beijing – A Changing City

On Saturday, October 30, the No. 46 Fangjia Hutong courtyard was packed with over 200 documentary goers attending CHP’s Beijing – A Changing City, an international documentary screening session. New Beijing – Reinventing a City, an Australian documentary, and Cycle of Change, a German documentary, both capture a rapid growth that Beijing has been experiencing in the past decade. The crowd also engaged in a lively discussion session that followed after, led by CHP founder He Shuzhong and Memories of China founder Zhang Jinqi.

CHP would like to thank Studio-X Beijing for donating the venue for the event; Georgia Wallace-Crabbe & Gregory Miller, the producers of New Beijing – Reinventing a City; and Enno Ladwig, the producer of Cycle of Change.

Last but not least, RMB 1,800 was raised from this documentary screening. Event proceed will benefit Cultural Action Network – CHP’s nation-wide organized volunteer network that will fight to protect priceless heritage across China.
